My paper will focus on the genre of horror. I plan on summarizing the main valid points and traits of this genre. I will also share the history of this genre giving important parts of history and authors of the genre. Some of the main connections that horror has to the real world would be when people make movies and films from them. Some of the films are even based on the books. Some of the more important and popular authors of this genre would obviously be Stephen King, who is the most popular living horror author. There is also R.L. Stine's who created the popular book series, Goosebumb's. While short-story writing uses many of the same techniques you'd use to write any story, the way the techniques are used often vary to accommodate the length of the shorter work. These tips will help you grab readers and pull them in to your story. People read the horror genre because it is an intense, frightening thing that puts you into a different world that makes things unreal, become real. Some people use it to escape from reality, and some people read it for fun!
